How are Pilates Classes Different From Other Workout Classes?
By now, you probably know someone who goes to pilates classes on a regular basis. And while they are usually in very good shape, you might not understand exactly what they are talking about. There are so many classes out there that people take these days, it’s tough to tell what is what anymore.
Pilates classes are unlike all the others though because they use a very specific set of machines that are fine-tuned to create a specific amount of resistance on your body when you are working out on them. These stretch and strengthen your muscles and joint without putting too much strain on them. It is an especially good workout for athletes and for those who are recovering from injuries. There are pilates classes that will have large numbers of people in them at once and other pilates classes that are more individually focused, though obviously more expensive.
